Welcome

Welcome to the Kings’ Hall Withyham and thank you for visiting our site.

The Hall is located just on the edge of Withyham village, near to the beautiful Ashdown Forest. It is just across the road from the Church of St Michael and All Angels, making it an ideal location for weddings, christenings and funerals. It was built in 1910 and is a handsome traditional Edwardian redbrick building, unlike many characterless modern wooden village halls of recent years.

The hall itself consists of two rooms:
The main room of the hall includes a stage area; it can comfortably seat 120 people theatre-style or 100 seated around tables.
Then there is a smaller room, the Hudson Room which is perfect for small meetings to seat say 20 or as an annex, bar area or dressing room for the main room.

Rates cover hiring of both room and include use of all tables and chairs for 120 people.
If you wish to hire just the smaller Hudson room then we would be pleased to quote for you.
As well as the two rooms, there is fully equipped kitchen with a range style electric cooker, fridge, two dish-washers and plenty of crockery and cutlery for all occasions. There are also fridges located in the main hall and the Hudson room to accommodate storage of cold food and drinks in those areas, should that be required.

The hall is regularly used for all kinds of activities, meetings, quiz nights, concerts, pantomimes, it is used for indoor bowls, yoga and boxing as well as a weekly Art Group who hold Exhibitions twice a year, a weekly choir and we also hold a monthly lunch and a monthly Friday Cafe (find out more).

Discounts are available for annual hire of the hall.
